Sweet Nathan is full of typical puppy energy and loves to play. He enjoys playing games with his people and his siblings. When he is outside in the puppy play area he will dance around just out of reach, with a big goofy grin on his face.He is one of four siblings who will arrive THIS WEEKEND in Seattle and as yet has not found his forever family :( Could that be you? This poor puppy had an awful start in life when dumped at a rural shelter in Louisiana at just 7 weeks old. The pups were very sick , so weak they couldn't stand up. The vet treated them for anemia (from fleas and tick infestation), nasty worms, coccidia and a staph infection!!!! Luckily they were taken into rescue and loved back to health. He is now a healthy, happy boy full of fun!

Please excuse the pictures in the crate--its not really dirty--just stained from years of use!

The puppies will be fully vaccinated before they come to Seattle and will be spayed/neutered at our cost before they are 6 months old.  They will need training and a requirement is attending a puppy class .

We believe that these puppies are Border Collie mixes based on their body type and coloration but since we know nothing about their parents we can't be certain.

Border Collies are active and Nathan seems to fit this profile; he will need a family that is active as well, running partner, trips to the dog park, hiking etc.

As Nathan is still a puppy he cannot be left alone for long periods of time, will need a safe puppy proofed environment and someone with lots of patience!  If that could be you, we do require a home and reference checks before adoption and with our puppies the adoption contract states that a training class is also mandatory.  As a purely foster based rescue we have no central location at which you can visit our dogs, consequently we only honor meeting requests from preapproved adopters.  You are welcome to fill in our online application at www.myaarf.org; please fill this in as fully as you can.  It won't obligate you to anything or any particular dog but gives us a great place from which to begin the matching process.  Please allow 24-48 hours for a response from our busy volunteers.  Adoption fee is $400 which includes all transport, vetting (including spay/neuter) and microchipping.
