Meet the beautiful Breeze a smaller catahoula/ cattle dog mix who is around 30lbs and fully grown. She is currently in Louisiana but is traveling north very soon and would LOVE to have a family ready and waiting to greet her when she arrives. She's such a friendly girl she would probably prefer to be an only dog so she doesn't have to share your attention but for the right male dog might be a good match. She wants to be the alpha especially with other females so as long as your pup is submissive you shouldn't have a problem. Breeze REALLY wants to chase smaller animals so cats are not a great match and you'll have to watch her prey drive outside with squirrels etc as she might be tempted to hop a smaller fence to chase one if given the option! 

Breeze warms up to everyone fairly quickly though she can be a little wary of men at first. She doesn't mind going in her crate at all and is quiet in the house but will let you know when someone is at the door. She's young and getting used to living as an inside dog so is 90% potty trained but working on letting you know she needs to go outside. To begin with frequent trips outside together will be a must. She does love to explore so will need a fenced yard and your company (or a leash) at all times until she learns where her new home is.
 
Breeze ADORES her people and would like nothing more that to be a couch and lap dog for you. She is learning her leash manners and really enjoys playing with other dogs so long as she can be the boss. She is a dominant little girl who really just wants to be the apple of her owners eye and will be very protective of you around other dogs- her foster mom is working on teaching her it's ok to share! A spray bottle has been a great tool to help her focus and calm down. She's a clever girl, eager to please and learn- do you have the time and patience to help her become the best dog she can be? Do you work short hours and want someone to cuddle with and play with when you get home? Then this is the girl for you!!!! 

As a purely foster based rescue we have no central location at which you can visit our dogs, consequently we only honor meeting requests from preapproved adopters.  Please fill in our online application at www.myaarf.org; as fully as you can.  It won't obligate you to anything or any particular dog but gives us a great place from which to begin the matching process.  Please allow 24-48 hours for a response from our busy volunteers. Adoption Fee is $350 which includes all transport, vetting (including spay/neuter) and microchipping.
