Isn't Countess just gorgeous and so deserving of her new name! She's a Catahoula Leopard dog mix from Louisiana who is currently being fostered in Seattle. She's a goofy young girl with lots of playful energy. She comes when she's called and minds well. She shows interest in chickens and would most likely not do well with free range chickens but is fine with those that are penned and protected. She is gentle natured, so with training I think she might be just fine with them. She kennels in her outside pen very well and is leash friendly. She traveled north with her sister Duchess who is now adopted, and is very submissive. Very photogenic! We think she would love to have a doggie playmate at home. She has always been with her sister and likes company. Countess is a very friendly sweet young submissive lady who loves to hang out with her family and is great with kids. Hasn't been cat tested. She has a moderate level or playful fun energy but is not hyper. She's a clever girl who is eager to learn and would benefit greatly from a training class. As a purely foster based rescue we have no central location at which you can visit our dogs, consequently we only honor meeting requests from preapproved adopters. Please fill in our online application at www.myaarf.org; as fully as you can. It won't obligate you to anything or any particular dog but gives us a great place from which to begin the matching process. Please allow 24-48 hours for a response from our busy volunteers. Adoption Fee is $400 which includes all transport, vetting (including spay/neuter) and microchipping.
