About Kitty

  • Status: Adopted!
  • Species: Dog
  • Housetrained: Yes
Kitty came to us from living in a bad situation. She hadn't been given the love she deserved & gives to everyone around her. She lived with a huge chain around her neck & tied out in her owner's yard. She is so loving & wants to just be with people so much that we can't believe she didn't go crazy out there all alone. We believe she was forced to breed a couple times in her short life & is sometimes sensitive about dogs sniffing her bottom. She will sit down & get nervous when they sniff her. Kitty's foster family said the top 3 words they'd use to describe her are loyal, playful, & amazing. They say she is one of the easiest dogs they've ever fostered. We estimate Kitty's birthday as being around January 2010. Kitty is potty & kennel trained. She will howl for her people if she is scared & alone in her kennel. We found this out because the first few days in her foster home she did this, her kennel is on a separate level than the bedrooms. Kitty is fostered with cats, another large dog, & a 6 pound chihuahua mix. She runs & plays with the large dog perfectly fine. Then she tries to play with the little dog & gets very confused when it runs away & bites her nose. We were told she wasn't good with cats, but she has never gone after any of the cats in her foster home. She sees them, but ignores them. Kitty does great with people of all ages but is so excited to see people that she may knock over small children. So we recommend her not to go into a home with smaller children unless you plan on enrolling her in to training classes right away. If you have any questions please do not hesitate to ask. Adoption fee applies. All our dogs are vaccinated, microchipped, & spayed/neutered. The first 30 days after adoption is considered a trial period, for any reason if you return the dog in the trial period your adoption fee is 100% refundable. Thank you!
