Hi my name is Juniper, I am an 8yr old Shih Tzu. I was rescued when I came in to a salon to be groomed. I can't remember the last time I was groomed. When I first came in to the salon my fur was very heavy & hanging off of me in feces-filled dreadlocks. The dreadlocks were so heavy my skin was starting to be pulled apart. When my groomer pulled me out of my kennel she noticed something sitting on the bottom of my kennel. It was one of my teeth. Now, all of my teeth (except 3) have been removed because I was never fed hard food. The groomers had asked my father's caregiver if he would be willing to sign me over to my rescuers so that I could get the necessary medical care I desperately needed. Thankfully he did. So now I am looking for my forever home. I get along well with other dogs, cats, all adults and kids over 5yrs old. I really like to go for rides in the car, walks around my neighborhood and cuddle on the sofa. I am kennel trained for night time and when you're at work. I do have a couple of life-long issues because of my previous neglect. I need daily eye drops, weekly baths in my medicated shampoo and benadryl or a cortisone shot every now and then for my skin. I will come with my medications. They are inexpensive when they need to be refilled. I am spayed and up to date on all vaccines.
