Sweet little 9 yr old Emma Claire has lost the only home she has ever known due to a change in her family's housing situation.  She loves her people and would love nothing more than a warm lap to snuggle on.  She is healthy, leash, house and crate trained.  She is shy at first around new people but warms up quickly with kind gentle treatment. She is understandably confused and bewildered but is doing much better - the first night with her foster she was terrified but slept with her the second night. 

Emma Claire gets along with some dogs, particularly quiet ones about her size, but she is quite selective so we think she would do best as the only pet. Would be a wonderful dog for an older person/couple who wants a low maintenance snuggle bun. She has many years left to live and deserves to live them in a home surrounded by love. As a purely foster based rescue we have no central location at which you can visit our dogs, consequently we only honor meeting requests from preapproved adopters.  Please fill in our online application at www.myaarf.org as fully as you can.  It won't obligate you to anything or any particular dog but gives us a great place from which to begin the matching process.  Please allow 24-48 hours for a response from our busy volunteers. Adoption Fee is $150 which includes all transport, vetting (including spay/neuter) and microchipping.
