Chloe is a tripod due to an accident where she fell off the back of her owner's truck and crushed her radial nerve.  Her owner no longer wanted her because she could no longer hunt and decided to surrender her with a lame leg.  When we heard her story, we couldn't say "no" and committed to pulling her and getting her to Seattle to find her forever home. Her leg was amputated as it was completely useless and throwing her off balance. However, Chloe gets along just fine without it. She is very sweet and active despite only having three legs and can keep up just fine with all the dogs when playing and running around.

Chloe's age is estimated to be approximately 4 years old. Chloe gets along very well with other dogs, but would be perfectly happy as an only dog as well.  Chloe's foster family have two young kids, a cat and a dog half her size, but she gets along great with everyone!  Chloe loves human attention and is very affectionate.  She weighs about 95 lbs., but she tries to climb up in your lap and love you up.  Although she is missing a limb and has a bit of a limp, Chloe has a great attitude and is a very happy go lucky dog. She would love to be your daily walking or hiking partner to help get off some extra weight.  If you are looking for a furry companion to do some fun and things with, look no further!

As a purely foster based rescue we have no central location at which you can visit our dogs.  Therefore, we only honor meeting requests from pre-approved adopters with an application on file.  Please fill in our online application at www.myaarf.org/forms as fully as you can.  It won't obligate you to anything or any particular dog but gives us a great place from which to begin the matching process.  Please allow 24-48 hours for a response from our busy volunteers. Chloe's Adoption Fee is $375 which includes all transport, vetting (including spay/neuter) and micro-chipping.
